Job Vacancy: Regional Sales Manager
Locations: Abuja, Port Harcourt – Rivers, Aba – Abia, Lagos and Kano
Job Descriptions of a Regional Sales Manager:
- We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to expand our customer base and achieve sales quotas for specific districts of our company.
- To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience managing the operation of a store (or number of stores) while taking accountability for reaching targets.
- You should also be able to supervise a team of salespeople and set profitable goals. Our ideal candidates combine excellent communication skills with a strategic mindset.
- Ultimately, you will ensure your area of responsibility meets and exceeds the expectations of our business objectives and contributes to our company’s success in the long run.
Responsibilities:
- Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
- Support Store Managers with day-to-day store operation
- Evaluate store and individual performances
- Report on regional sales results
- Forecast quarterly and annual profits
- Identify hiring needs, select and train new salespeople
- Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility
- Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
- Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
- Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition
- Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
- Promoting the company’s products after communicating with in-store management and marketing teams.
- Acting as the main point of contact with brokers, suppliers, and distributors in the region.
- Provides leadership to the assigned region, overseeing retail activities and stores.
- Reviews and analyzes regional sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and to identify potential new markets.
- Collaborates with store managers to develop sales goals for each location, monitors progress toward those goals, and develops strategies to attract and retain customers.
- Develops marketing programs and promotions to increase sales and/or introduce new products and services.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in the store region; designs and implements training, strategies, policies, goals, and other resources to maximize productivity and morale.
- Implementing sales goals and communicating them to key individuals.
- Preparing sales reports and submitting them to senior management.
- Communicating with store managers to determine their needs.
- Maximizing growth potential of stores within the region.
- Ensuring that stores comply with industry regulations.
- Preparing budgets and analyzing the market.
- Collecting customer feedback as well as market research.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales or related field.
- Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role
- Proven experience in sales management.
- Proficient in basic accounting.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work under stress and resolve conflict.
- Sound organizational skills.
- The ability to motivate staff and lead a team.
