We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • To ensure that the processing and packaging line are working according to specified/ recommended guidelines and agreed standard operating procedures.
  • This is to enable deliver target production volumes within specified Time, with optimized resource and at the right Quality.

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent should be able to Set up machines, initiate calibration and cleaning needed to start a production cycle, as well deliver a seamless run.
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Ensue the right quality and quantity of raw material or parts are fed to the process and packaging machines.
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Fix minor issues that might occur during the shift, as well as refer issues to the key/ competent technical teams, when the escalation thresholds are reached.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes, flaws or quality concerns.
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Maintain production and activity logs as well as analyze trends.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the equipment and workplace.
  • Be a champion of Safety for self, others, equipment, and general workplace.
  • Must be able to synergize with other Design Departments to achieve set goals.
  • Accountability for assigned works with attention to detail is a must have.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of OND in Electrical / Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Have at least a 3-years related machine operator experience in an FMCG plant (preferably an Aerosol/insecticide manufacturing facility).
  • Knowledge of LPG systems, pneumatic systems, and factory gas operations.
  • Knowledge of aerosol packaging machines as well as safety and fire suppression systems.
  • Should have basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Age: 23 – 35 years old.
