Job Vacancy: Sales Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • The sales engineer is seasoned, hardworking, smart and overachieving.
  • Your responsibility will be selling to new prospects as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Measures of success will include new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, upselling, cross-selling, customer satisfaction and contribution to the overall sales team and business success.

Responsibilities of a Sales Engineer:

  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Perform client and prospect demonstrations (both virtual and in-person).
  • Proactively guide customers through their product options and prescribe solutions based on their needs.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and product teams as a trusted advisor to facilitate solution improvements.
  • Identify any custom technical requirements and coordinate as necessary with the product team.
  • Maintain sales volume and product mix by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepares reports such as weekly prospects reports, monthly sales target reports.
  • Maintain quality customer service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications /  Requirements:

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with 2 – 4 years relevant work experience.
