Job Vacancy: Sales Engineer

Role Summary
- The sales engineer is seasoned, hardworking, smart and overachieving.
- Your responsibility will be selling to new prospects as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels.
- Measures of success will include new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, upselling, cross-selling, customer satisfaction and contribution to the overall sales team and business success.
Responsibilities of a Sales Engineer:
- Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
- Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
- Perform client and prospect demonstrations (both virtual and in-person).
- Proactively guide customers through their product options and prescribe solutions based on their needs.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and product teams as a trusted advisor to facilitate solution improvements.
- Identify any custom technical requirements and coordinate as necessary with the product team.
- Maintain sales volume and product mix by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Prepares reports such as weekly prospects reports, monthly sales target reports.
- Maintain quality customer service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with 2 – 4 years relevant work experience.
- Reliable technical/engineering background
- Ability to work with others as a team
- Ability to build client relationships easily
- Good marketing skills and business sense
- Organizational skills
- Analytical skills and great problem solving skills
- Self-confidence to support persuasion and sales efforts.
